Apr 20, 2018Kelly James Taylor of 4524 Tiffany Drive was found stabbed to death in the street in front of his home. The suspect is Jackie Marie Jacobs, 50, also of 4524 Tiffany Drive. She is being held without bond in the Cabarrus County Jail awaiting an appearance in court Thursday, April 19, on a first degree murder charge.The Kannapolis Police Department issued this press release Monday evening, April 16:“On April 11, 2018 at 9:54 our agency received a call that a male was located in the roadway in front of 4524 Tiffany Drive, Kannapolis. Officers arrived on the scene a short time later and found that the male was deceased and it appeared that he had been stabbed. The victim was identified as Kelly James Taylor.“Our Felony Investigation Unit worked this investigation finalizing evidence collection and interviewing potential witnesses. During the investigation Jackie Marie Jacobs was identified as a potential suspect.“On April 16, 2018 the suspect, Jackie Marie Jacobs was arrested for the murder of Taylor. Due to this being an ongoing and active investigation further details surrounding the specifics of this incident will be limited.“The Kannapolis Police Department requests anyone with information regarding this incident or the suspect’s location to call 704-920-4000 or Crime Stoppers at 704-932-7463 (CRIME). A reward is available for anyone providing information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s) in this case.
